Impairment and guidance cut likely as winter weather and supply chain woes delay plant completion

Peninsula Energy has warned of another likely production guidance downgrade at its flagship Lance uranium project in Wyoming, blaming bad winter weather and supply chain issues for delays in completing the construction of its central processing plant. The emerging uranium producer has cut its 2025 guidance, down from the prior 700,000-900,000lb, and says he latest 600,000lb target set just two months ago due to slow drilling rates is now probably too ambitious.

Some 1100lb of uranium was reportedly processed from the in-situ recovery operation by the end of December, with operations described in mid-January as ‘smooth and efficient'.Once production begins, ramp-up to full output will take two years. Two years behind scheduleThe 58Mlb Lance development is one of the largest independent, near-term uranium development projects in the US and is expected to produce some 2Mlbpa at all-in costs of $50.27/lb.
