Penn State has opposed the idea of hosting a Friday game in Beaver Stadium and has not yet done so since the Big Ten began regularly scheduling conference action on that day. Moving a home game off of a Saturday comes with financial ramifications and logistical challenges for the team and fans. However, during James Franklin’s tenure, Penn State has played Friday games on the road in 2018 at Illinois and in 2019 at Maryland.
