We all know the feeling of getting a 99 Flake from the ice cream van With the hope of increasing sales, these artisan ice cream makers introduced the Cadbury Flake 99 and then gave their creation an official name, once it became popular with customers. Cadbury have also been quick to set the record straight, even revealing the reason behind the name in an article that appeared in a Cadbury works paper many years ago.
