Eight people were arrested during the Orange Order walks in Glasgow

Around 50 parades left communities in various parts of the city on Saturday morning before merging at George Square in the city centre.Chief Superintendent Stevie Dolan said:"Officers in Glasgow and Lanarkshire made a total of eight arrests during the Orange Order processions on Saturday, July 6, 2024."A proportionate policing plan was in place and we worked with a range of partners to ensure public safety and minimise disruption to the wider community.
