Sky News host Peta Credlin says the Albanese government has changed the rules to make it easier for people who come to Australia illegally by boat, to bring their family members here to join them.

“The former Coalition government only managed to stop the boats and the deaths at sea by making it crystal clear that the customers of the people smugglers would not get what they were buying,” Ms Credlin said.

“So people arriving illegally by boat under this Labor Government will now get exactly what they paid people smugglers for. “A life in Australia, with all the bells and whistles, including family union after Immigration Minister Andrew Giles used his ministerial powers to reverse the restrictions put in place by the Abbott Government.”
