Beloved actor and Hollywood legend Dick Van Dyke is celebrating his 99th birthday today - and he shared his secrets to staying healthy and active in his later years
The cherished American star, renowned for captivating roles in timeless films such as Mary Poppins and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, has begun his birthday festivities by featuring in British band Coldplay's new music video for 'All My Love'. In a touching moment, frontman Chris Martin serenades the esteemed actor, before the pair start singing together.
" is getting more important," he acknowledged. "I'm only about five months from 99, so I find it the legs I would tell everybody who's getting old get your legs together. If you're going to get around, you're alright, and that's what I'm working on." He then expressed deep gratitude for his wife, attributing his health to her support. "Oh my God! I don't think I'd even be here, to tell you the truth," he mused on the thought of life without her. "She keeps me fit, nourishes me and my love for her grows daily. We're just growing closer and closer."
