The Wild Goose Festival is in full flight with locals and visitors flocking to enjoy the many events held during the weekend.
It was also a busy weekend for staff at the WWT Caerlaverock just outside Dumfries, which had a book signing for Peter Scott and the Birth of Modern Conservation, optics demonstration, beginners wetland birding, and an early morning dawn flight for the public to see the spectacle of thousands of barnacle geese flying into the reserve.
