People claiming certain other benefits need to report the change to ensure no break in payments.
The latest figures from the Department for Work and Pensions indicate that nearly 173,000 people on Personal Independence Payment are due to transfer to Adult Disability Payment before the end of next year. People will receive two letters at least three months before the move is due to start, one from Social Security Scotland and one from DWP .
Who you need to tell about the move If you get any of the following benefits, you will need to tell each provider about the move. This will make sure that you stay in payment. If you do experience any payment issues after the move, contact the relevant department as soon as possible.
