A hairstylist has shocked her three million TikTok followers after showing them how to correctly use hair grips to achieve their favourite hairstyles, as many admit they've been using them wrong since childhood
People have been left gobsmacked after discovering they have been using hair grips wrong their entire lives.
She claims most people slide them into their hair with the crinkled side facing up - but says this negates their entire design and results in you needing to use an unnecessary amount of pins to put your hair up. "The grooves are intended to help the bobby pin stay in place so having it face outward isn't as effective! That's how you should wear it, so crazy."
A third user said: "My whole life was a lie." One more user added: "And today I knew... why these pins don't stay in my hair."
