A woman spent nine days in Europe's smallest country and insists it is now her 'favourite place in the world' thanks to its reasonable accommodation prices, good food and stunning scenery
When booking a holiday it can be hard to find a spot that has exactly everything you want - but one woman insists one small and 'underrated' European country 'ticks all the boxes'. Approximately a three-hour flight from the UK is a stunning spot for hiking, exploring quaint towns, admiring gorgeous beaches and mountains - you'll find them all in Montenegro.
She flew into Podgorica Airport and says it is easy to get a bus or taxi to costal towns. She also recommends doing a day trip to Kotor which is 'a little bit more expensive but 100% worth the visit'. Em was surprised by how calm it was and added: 'I feel like if this was in Greece or Italy, it would be absolutely packed. The only thing I would say is make sure to bring water shoes as some of the stones can be quite sharp and I'm pretty sure I saw a sea urchin.
