DAVAO CITY – After more than two years, the People’s Park will be reopened next month after it was shut down as authorities prohibited mass gathering to avoid transmission of the highly infectious coronavirus disease .
The People’s Park is one of the city’s largest sites for swabbing at the height of the COVID-19 surge and later as a vaccination hub with drive-thru. Dagasohan added that the local government has set aside a budget for the renovation of the public park. The park now houses the five-story gallery of the National Museum of the Philippines , which is set to open in December this year.
