Newcastle United and Manchester City are set to lock horns for the fourth time this season on Saturday evening, with Eddie Howe and Pep Guardiola renewing their rivalry
Newcastle United are preparing for their fourth encounter of the 2023/24 season with Manchester City. The Magpies haven't had the best luck against City in the Premier League this season, suffering defeats in both matches.

"They made it very physical, it's a very difficult place to come. We started very well but Newcastle were so aggressive, we didn't have control. Newcastle are becoming one of the toughest opponents but we created a lot of chances and, in the end, we showed who we are." Manchester City managed to get a tight 1-0 victory over Newcastle back in August after a tough game at the Etihad. The City manager knew it wouldn't be easy, saying: "They were last season. A team that qualifies for the Champions League last season and is still there is a really good team. And I think as a team, from outside, they make smart decisions. Gordon, Harvey Barnes, now Lewis Hall. They buy what they need in that moment and they know exactly what they have to do.
