Man City beat Wolves with a late winner from John Stones at Molineux
Pep Guardiola has made a bizarre reference to Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp after his Man City team kept the pressure on at the top of the Premier League table with a win at Wolves. City needed a 95th minute winner from centre-back John Stones to emerge victorious after a stubborn display from Gary O'Neil's men. Wolves had taken the lead through Strand Larsen before Josko Gvardiola's equaliser.
THe goal was initially ruled out on field after Bernardo Silva was deemed to be in an offside position, only for referee Chris Kavanagh to award the goal after a VAR check on the pitchside monitor. Speaking after the game, Guardiola said: 'We are not used to winning games at the end, like Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool it many times happened. It is a good flavour for us...' Releasing a statement after the game, the Premier League confirmed the reasoning behind the decision to award the goal.
