Emergency services are currently in attendance at Kinghorn Station, between Kirkcaldy and Burntisland on the southern edge of the Kingdom.

A person has been hit by a train at a railway station in Fife, prompting local services to be halted and redirected.Scotrail says services have been suspended in the area while first responders attend at the scene. Trains on the Fife Circle line have been suspended, with travellers able to use their tickets to travel on Stagecoach buses between Fife and Dundee.

The rail operator said on Twitter: "Sadly, a person has been struck by a train between Burntisland and Kirkcaldy.
