Mark Proctor, 48, sat across from his victim and told her 'I would' before repeated attempts to touch her. She moved to another carriage and then went back to her original seat but was followed each time.

Mark Proctor, 48, preyed on his victim between Glasgow's Easterhouse and High Street stations on September 3 2023. Proctor boarded the train and sat across from her then stated "I would".Proctor, of the city's Baillieston, went on to put his legs over hers before she walked away to another carriage.

The fiscal depute said: "Proctor moved his right foot towards her, making contact with her lower legs."Again, he put his two legs over her and stopped her from getting off the seat."The woman then asked Proctor: "What are you doing with your legs?" The woman quickly made her way to another carriage but was followed by Proctor to sit across from her.

The fiscal depute added: "Proctor raised his legs towards the woman and she immediately stood up and went back to the other carriage."He then turned around and went to the opposite side of the train. The fiscal depute said: "At this point, the woman felt intimidated and scared as if Proctor was going to follow her home or harm her."Graham Bryson, defending, told the court that his client was drunk at the time of the offence.Sentence was deferred pending background reports until next month.Join Glasgow Live's WhatsApp community here and get the latest news sent straight to your messages.
