FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Meet Addie, a bundle of sunshine who loves chasing tennis balls almost as much as she loves having her ears rubbed!
Addie is a black, spayed female, 11-month-old, labrador retriever-hound mix, who arrived at the Fairbanks Animal Shelter on January 15, and is looking for a perfect new place to call home. Since she arrived at the shelter as a stray, the staff does not have any of her prior history. Addie has shown herself to have a rambunctious, lively personality, and she is eager to make friends with everyone around her, including the dogs in the kennels near her. She was running around with another smaller dog when she was found. It is unknown whether she has any experience with children or pocket pets, so as always, please be sure to do slow introductions with any new friends.
As a puppy, Addie is looking for an owner who will have the time and energy to devote to continuing her training and socialization. Shelter staff says she has had a few accidents in her kennel and will likely need continued help with potty training. While she initially had a bit of difficulty getting used to walking on a leash, she has mastered it over the last month at the shelter.
