Liam Gallagher has been given a special award by animal rights group, PETA, after he adopted a homeless dog and raised thousands for an animal charity.
Gallagher received a heartfelt letter of thanks and a framed certificate for his generosity. The Mancunian legend found Buttons via Happy Doggo sanctuary to the charity founder's shock. The Animal Rights group said: "Liam’s compassionate move comes at a time when animal shelters across the UK and elsewhere are reporting spiking numbers of animal abandonment cases.
