Pete Davidson is making significant changes to his life following a summer rehab stint, including spending a hefty $200,000 to remove the numerous tattoos that cover his body. He aims for a fresh start and cites his sobriety and newfound desire for change as driving forces behind this decision.

Pete Davidson has reportedly spent a staggering $200,000 to remove the numerous tattoos that have adorned his body for years. According to sources close to the actor, Davidson's decision to undergo this extensive and painful process stems from a desire for a fresh start following his summer rehab stint. He has reportedly been sober since September and has made noticeable changes to his lifestyle, including gaining twenty pounds.

The source revealed to People magazine that Davidson woke up one day and simply decided he wanted them gone, and it's been a years-long process. Davidson himself opened up about the grueling experience on the Today show Friday, describing the tattoo removal process as 'pretty terrible.' He showed off the faded ink on his arm, stating, 'So if anybody out there is watching and thinking about getting a tattoo, make sure you really want to get it. It’s pretty gone.' The actor, who began the removal process in 2020, admitted that getting sober sparked his desire for a full transformation, including his appearance. 'I got sober and I saw myself in the mirror and I was like,'Nah. Who that?' I was like,'I got to change it up a little bit.'' Davidson's decision to remove his tattoos isn't solely about personal aesthetics. He has previously spoken about the challenges his ink presents in the acting world, needing to spend hours in makeup to cover them up. Back in 2021, he revealed on Late Night with Seth Meyers that he wants to have his tattoos removed so that he doesn't have to spend 'three hours' in makeup every day getting them covered up. Davidson expressed his love for acting, stating, 'I honestly never thought that I would get the opportunity to act and I love it a lot.' However, he acknowledged the reality of Hollywood's expectations, saying, 'You have to get there three hours earlier to cover all your tattoos, because for some reason, people in movies, they don't have them that much,' he continued. The comedian's arms are almost back to their original state after starting laser tattoo removal treatments in 2020. He even confessed that the removal process is 'worse' than getting the tattoos in the first place, calling it a 'high off of the …' followed by a jarring announcement from the doctor about the specific tattoo, leaving him to decide whether to keep it
