Pete Wicks 'quits TOWIE for new projects' in massive shock after 7 years on ITVBe show
The reality TV star was a major fixture on the ITVBe series for seven years, but is said to be gearing up to announce it's time to focus on "other projects".
Pete has been in relationships with a variety of cast mates from the explosive reality show, including Chloe Sims, 41, and Megan McKenna.It comes after his stint on Celebs Go Dating earlier this month, where the star failed to find love once more despite copious efforts from the dating experts.A source told the publication that Pete's impending exit will be a huge blow for the show as they were already reeling from the departure of the Sims siblings Chloe, Demi and Frankie in 2022.
The insider went on to say it's been a "monumental stint" for the star, whose storylines on the show will go down in "history" as some of the most iconic. While Pete is said to have not ruled out a potential return from the show, he's choosing to take a "step away" for a while. "Pete will continue to cameo on TOWIE when it makes sense to appear alongside his friends, but he will no longer be a fully-fledged cast member," another source added.Firstly just James Lock's best friend, he quickly became popular in his own right after making a beeline for gorgeous fan-favourite Jess Wright.The relationship ultimately ended when Megan discovered her beau had been sending explicit texts to his ex-girlfriend Jacqui Ryland.
