Peter Crouch jokes he ‘couldn’t pull a hamstring’ until he met his wife as new trailer for upcoming film debuts
, Tottenham and England striker made the joke in a trailer for a new Amazon film about his career.Clancy explained what attracted her to Crouch, whom she married in 2011Crouch has long been known for having a way with words, which earned him plenty of love during his playing career, and now as a pundit.
The 6ft 7in striker’s most famous line was when a reporter once asked what he’d be if he wasn’t a footballer and he replied ‘a virgin’. And in a similar style, he discussed his luck with the ladies, saying: “I couldn’t pull a hamstring until I was about 21.”Speaking in the trailer for ‘That Peter Crouch Film’ he says: “I was ridiculed by every newspaper, every press outlet, I was different. I was just incredibly tall.”
Despite his unique frame, Crouch, 42, is now happily married with model Abbey Clancy, and the couple have four children.
