Sian Gibson - who is best known for playing Kayleigh in Peter Kay's Car Share - has opened up about the future of the BBC comedy and whether Peter will return to the show
It's been five years since Peter Kay 's Car Share last aired on BBC One, but fans of the comedy are always hoping for John and Kayleigh's return. Now star Sian Gibson - who plays Kayleigh in the comedy - has given an update on whether Car Share will ever be back on our screens.
"I don't think so," she said when asked about Car Share returning. "I mean, Peter's doing a record-breaking UK tour. He's very busy for the next couple of years. He's doing his amazing stand-up." Mike revealed that it was Peter Kay who inspired him to pursue comedy after being a PE teacher for numerous years. "He's genuinely the reason I started doing stand-up," Mike said.
"So I thought about it for a little while and then said to my wife, 'I'd love to give comedy a go properly,' so she said, 'Well, let's get the mortgage first, let's move into the house and get the mortgage set up because you'll be struggling .'"
