Sarah, 52, a primary school administrator, described the wedding as an antidote to depressing world events, emphasizing the joy of celebrating together. Molly Hurrell, 27, hoped to see the King again, having met him 20 years ago as a nursery pupil when he opened a new building at Tigger Nursery.
She brought her aunt Claire Johnson, 56, and daughter Nala, two, recognizing Nala might not remember but cherishing the memory. Claire, a self-proclaimed royal lover, expected rain but said it would not dampen their spirits. College student Lyla Scovell, 17, described herself as a royal fanatic and attended the King Coronation; she shares a birthday with the late Queen Elizabeth, which she believes fuels her passion.
