He's starting to crack under the pressure
to get missing Carla Connor home where she belongs. But as she remains out of reach and more vulnerabe by the day, Peter is starting to crack under the pressure. As he contemplates drastic action, Ken Barlow is worried about his son’s own worsening state of mind.
Peter had found Carla in an absolute state outside Underworld as she was convinced that Rana is still alive and also blamed herself for the collapse of the roof. He took her for medical help and she fled and eventually he was led to a squat where he believed she might be staying. But after an altercation with the residents, he is no further forward and hits rock bottom.
Claudia Colby arrives at the Barlow household and is horrified by the state she finds a broken Peter in. Has he been tempted to ease his suffering with booze again?Clearly wanting his son to put his own health first instead of his desperation to find Carla, Ken reaches a decision. But will he push Peter further away as Carla’s situation goes from bad to worse, culminating in a terrible breakdown from which she may never recover?
