The owner and manager of a petrol station in Stalybridge, England, have been fined £11,000 for selling illegal disposable e-cigarettes. Trading standards officers seized the illegal products during a visit to the Texaco service station in June 2023. Both Mr. Patel (owner) and Mr. Muhammed (manager) were found guilty and sentenced to fines, victim surcharges, and court costs.

They seized illegal disposable e-cigarettes. A test purchase of illegal disposable e-cigarettes was also made. On January 3 this year, magistrates sentenced Mr Patel to a £4,000 fine and ordered him to pay a £1,600 victim surcharge, as well as £715 costs. Mr Muhammed was sentenced to a £3,200 fine and ordered to pay a £1,260 victim surcharge, and £715 costs.
