Canadian golfer Mackenzie Hughes was penalised two shots after arriving late for his third round tee time
PGA Tour star Mackenzie Hughes made a costly mistake on Saturday, turning up late for his tee time at the Scottish Open.
He was scheduled to tee off at 2.45pm alongside Denmark's Ryder Cup star Nicolai Hojgaard, but officials quickly informed the two-time PGA Tour winner that he was tardy. Hughes, to his credit, managed to quickly regain his composure, scoring birdies on holes three, six and 10 to move under par for the day. However, he lost a shot at the 12th, dropping back to eight-under. He ended his round one-under for the day and nine-under for the tournament, seven shots behind leader Aberg.
