The country’s daily new COVID-19 cases continue to show a decline as the Department of Health reports 3,651 additional coronavirus infections on Wednesday, the second straight day that figures were over 3,000. | cgonzalesINQ
Of the active cases, 95 percent are either mild or asymptomatic. A total of 4,150 are asymptomatic cases, 87,385 are mild, 3,029 are moderate, 1,447 are severe, and 315 are critical.
The DOH also recorded a positivity rate of 16.5 percent out of 29,970 individuals who got tested on Monday. On hospitalization, 40 percent of intensive care unit beds, 36 percent of isolation beds, and 32 percent of ward beds nationwide for COVID-19 patients are currently being occupied. In Metro Manila, 32 percent of ICU beds, 29 percent of isolation beds, and 30 percent of ward beds are in use.
All testing laboratories were operational on Monday, according to the DOH. However, three laboratories were not able to submit their data to the COVID-19 Document Repository System.
