THE inter-agency contingent deployed by the Philippine government to earthquake-ravaged Turkey will start their mission today, Friday, in the southeastern city of Adiyaman, the Office of Civil Defense reported.The team arrived safely at Istanbul on Thursday at 11:59 a.m. and left Adana Airport on Friday at 3:35 a.m. for Adiyaman.
OCD Administrator Undersecretary Ariel Nepomuceno said several members of the contingent were not able to join the mission due to lack of required travel documents.He stressed that this does not in any way affect the overall integrity and capability of the force.
