Rabiul Chowdhury, co-chair of the organization Abandon Biden, commented, "We are all visiting each other's house and all of a sudden you open your WhatsApp message and then you hear about the shooting." "Several people that I knew were on the spot when it took place," he explained. "And they reported just hearing gunshots and just like, you know, taking cover and running away."
Tekelioglu offered some reassurance, stating, "It appeared that this was not an attack on Muslims celebrating the Eid, which marks the end of the month of Ramadan, but rather, two groups that had some sort of feud."Tekelioglu disclosed, "Since the fall of 2023, we had four, three mosques that have been vandalized, several mosques that received hate messages."
