PRINCE PHILIP's attitude towards Princess Margaret's former romance with Group Captain Peter Townsend was revealed by the one-time equerry, according to a royal biography.
They also knew each other through Cpt Townsend’s brother Michael — Philip sailed under him during World War 2, as he was the captain of a destroyer.
