The new Light Blues boss has got off to a brilliant start with a perfect three from three league record and big Europa League point on the road but his acid test comes at Hampden reckons the ex-Ibrox star.
Kenny Miller reckons Philippe Clement could be the REAL DEAL for Rangers but he MUST deliver on one non-negotiable.
His side completed a stunning comeback win over Hearts last weekend at Ibrox with James Tavernier and Danilo netting in the 90th and 93rd minute to send the home fans wild. That was followed up with a thumping five-star showing at Dundee midweek as they head to Hampden later today to face the Jambos once again with confidence flying.
Writing in the Daily Record, he said: "Make no mistake - the game at Hampden is the acid test for Clement. He’s won the games he’s had to win so far. But for whoever replaced Beale as manager, there was one non-negotiable. Deliver the League Cup. That hasn’t changed. He’s got a semi-final to navigate through first against an opponent who almost beat them at Ibrox last week.
"There’s an opportunity to get real adulation by achieving that at a really important time because it would give these players belief and hopefully a hunger to go and get more. Rangers can’t be winning trophies every few years – it has to be every single year.
