The Belgian's job now is to make sure the disappointment of defeat to Benfica doesn't impact their Treble dream.
Philippe Clement insists there’s no way Jack Butland will let a snub from England ruin his chances of getting hands of further prizes with Rangers.
Clement said: “I don’t like this talk about ‘him, him, him’. It is about ‘us’ and everybody together. Jack is not busy with himself, he is busy with the team and is helping the team with his experience. That is our strength and what we will show in the next couple of weeks.” “Those are the things in life but he continues working hard for Rangers. Then other things can come. You create the possibility. I think the most positive thing is the last couple of weeks a lot of things are written about that, for Jack to go to the England squad — but I didn’t hear one person saying ‘ooft, that is a strange thing’. I think with that he did already proves a lot. He will continue doing that in the next weeks.
He said: "As a player, it is difficult. The older you become — I’m starting to talk now like the old people — the more incredible and nice moments you have but the more disappointments you have also and disappointing moments. You learn out of that. You learn also to switch faster. That is now the challenge, to do it really fast. If I see somebody still with their head down I will see that it is raised again.
