The Rangers boss was left frustrated after the late postponement of their match with Dundee at Dens Park.
Unhappy Philippe Clement has told Scottish Professional Football League chiefs they need to up their game and improve the standards of our top-flight pitches.
Clement points to the fact that the Dundee game was the only fixture that went off across Scotland’s top four leagues this weekend. “This will be the only pitch in all the leagues in Scotland where a game was postponed, the Belgian stated. “It is really dangerous for injuries. We can say, yes, 50 years ago or 60 years ago football was played on these kind of pitches. And that’s true. But there has been an evolution as in those times they also played the game with laces in the football.”
“But we were only told there was an issue because our hitman was at the stadium early, at around 9.15am. He warned us about the situation and for me that’s a really strange thing.”
