Amid recent reports of balloons getting shot down for suspicions of espionage, authorities have indicated that the Philippines has the capability to detect flying objects depending on certain factors.
According to Chino Gaston's report on "24 Oras", the Armed Forces of the Philippines has air surveillance radar equipment that can detect flying objects.Flying objects hit the news recently after the US shot down a Chinese balloon suspected of being an espionage tool.
Even the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines can detect flying objects but only up to the heights reached by commercial aircraft.
