Hundreds of new recruits for the Philippine Navy took their oath of service, signifying the start of their basic training programs.

Navy recruits in the Philippines took their oath of service, marking the beginning of their basic training in Taguig City. Capt. Santiago Pacis Jr., assistant chief of Naval Staff for C4ISR, N6, delivered the keynote speech. The Philippine Navy conducted a joint oath-taking and turnover ceremony for members of the Naval Officer Candidate Course (NOCC) Class 44 and Sailor Basic Course (SBC) Classes 71 and 72.

NOCC Class 44 comprises 150 officer candidates, while SBC Classes 71 and 72 consist of 400 candidate sailors and 240 special enlistees. NOCC Class 44 and SBC Class 71 will train at the Naval Education, Training, and Doctrine Command in San Antonio, Zambales. SBC Class 72 will train at the Brigade Training and Doctrine Center under the Naval Combat Engineering Brigade. These training programs aim to equip recruits with the necessary knowledge, skills, discipline, values, leadership, physical fitness, and operational readiness to fulfill their future roles in the Philippine Navy
