An officer with the Philadelphia Police Department was shot while conducting a traffic stop in Kensington on Saturday, according to officials.

A man in the car fled the scene and fired his gun three times at the officers, striking one of them in the neck, Bethel said.The injured officer was taken to a nearby hospital, police said. Police are not looking for any other suspects.
