British comedy star Diane Morgan returns as Philomena Cunk in her latest mockumentary special, 'Cunk on Life', tackling big questions about the universe and existence.

A beloved British comedy star is about to make her TV return. After previously attempting to educate viewers on the history of Britain, early civilization and even the Space Race, Philomena Cunk is now expanding her horizons. The ill-informed investigative reporter (played by comedian Diane Morgan) first appeared on screens in Charlie Brooker’s Weekly Wipe before she was given her own shows – Cunk on Britain and Cunk on Earth.

In the mockumentaries, Cunk sat down with a range of experts in their chosen fields to ask questions many of us probably weren’t asking but were still intrigued to discover more about. Now she’s back with another Netflix special, pursuing her ‘most ambitious quest to date’ – venturing right up the universe and everything, to examine life itself. In just a few days viewers will again be able to be (mis)educated on topics including Quantum Physics, Existentialism, Nihilism, Hedonism (and at least four other isms too) as well as exploring subjects from the Big Bang to biology, morals to meditation and art to artificial intelligence. As the synopsis for her latest special teases: ‘”What’s the point of it all?” is a question humans have been asking themselves since the dawn of time. Philomena Cunk (Diane Morgan) is fronting the new special Cunk on Life. But as we cling to our dying planet, working round the clock while we’re slowly being replaced by machines, now more than ever, people are desperately looking to make sense of their lives – before someone invents a computer that makes sense of it for them.’ During her latest search for answers, Cunk is set to scrutinise historical figures that changed the way we look at the world.
