Phoenix Super LPG has tapped NBA veteran Johnathan Williams as its import for the 2023-24 PBA Commissioner's Cup, which is set to start on Nov. 5.

The Fuel Masters, who have injected a number of rookies in their roster, will have an American reinforcement known for his versatility and ability to score inside and out.The 28-year-old Williams played for the Los Angeles Lakers during the 2018-19 NBA season where he went on to average career-best 6.5 points and 4.1 rebounds in 24 games played.The following season, Williams moved over to play for the Washington Wizards where he normed 5.5 points and 6.3 rebounds.

'He's a high-energy guy and a great athlete,' Phoenix coach Jamike Jarin told the Manila Times.Williams, who played college basketball for Missouri and later, with Gonzaga, also took his pro basketball act to Israel, Turkey, Germany, Italy, and Japan.The Fuel Masters made it to the opening round of the playoffs in the Commissioner's Cup last season as seventh seed after finishing the eliminations with a 6-6 record.
