An artist has reconstructed the face of Queen Tiye, grandmother of King Tut, using her 3,400-year-old mummified remains. The reconstruction shows Queen Tiye as a beautiful woman with dark hair and brown eyes, based on her preserved bone structure.
A Photoshop artist has used advanced technology to reconstruct the face of Queen Tiye , the grandmother of King Tut , based on her 3,400-year-old mummified remains . By overlaying features such as eyes, a nose, and a mouth, the artist fitted them into Tiye's remarkably-preserved bone structure, and added details like hair, eyebrows, eyelashes, and even freckles. The result is a beautiful woman with dark, flowing hair, large brown eyes, a heart-shaped mouth, and a dark complexion.
Queen Tiye, the Great Royal Wife of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, was the mother of Amenhotep IV, also known as Akhenaten, and remained a prominent figure in Egyptian royalty even after her son ascended the throne. Her mummy was discovered in 1898 in the tomb of Amenhotep II in the Valley of the Kings, and her identity was confirmed via DNA analysis in 2010
