The royal family dropped a new photo of Kate Middleton and her three kids to celebrate Mother's Day , and you'd think it'd have the effect of quieting ongoing conspiracy theories about the Princess of Wales' whereabouts. But not so much. Despite the fact that the photo was literally taken by Prince William, fans read all the way into Kate's missing ring.
Everyone was convinced that things were awry in their Christmas portrait from last year—and while they didn't put out a statement, a source told Us Weekly they were both 'embarrassed' that everyone thought it was edited, and that they 'were as shocked as everyone else' by the public's reaction.As for Kate's missing wedding / engagement ring in that Mother's Day Instagram, according to Town Country's reporting, Kensington Palace did not comment.
