Piers Morgan has revealed that he confronted Matt Hancock when he landed back in England following his stint in the jungle. The journalist took to Twitter to tell his followers that he had an "awkward" encounter with the disgraced MP at Heathrow Airport.
Piers tweeted: "Just bumped into Matt Hancock at Heathrow. I told him I’d been giving him a good kicking the entire time he was in the jungle." Piers then added: "He said he knew. It was the purest personification of #Awks." Gina, who met Mr Hancock on the jungle bridge on Sunday night, left Australia on Tuesday with some of his celebrity campmates, but the independent MP remained Down Under to cash in on his new found fame with a lucrative interview.
Prior to his jungle stint, many were furious that the former Conservative MP would be taking part in the show for various reasons. Among those, were the fact he is still a sitting MP , his behaviour in government, his handling of the Covid-19 pandemic and questions surrounding contracts issued to private companies during his time as Health Secretary.
