Piers Morgan went on yet another rant on Good Morning Britain this morning about Gregg’s vegan sausage rolls – as the chain announced a new vegan Christmas range.he called Greggs ‘PC-ravaged clowns’ when the vegan sausage roll was first announcedAnd now, humble as ever, Piers has managed to once again muscle his way into the conversation and actually puts the success of the vegan sausage roll down to… himself.
‘My tweet [about the vegan sausage roll] broke the internet,’ he gloated. ‘If you ask Greggs, they have attended marketing conferences worldwide that it was down to me.’ Susanna Reid, of course, rolled her eyes at her co-host and tried to talk him down, but Piers was having none of it.In fact, he had the chance to offer a New Year’s challenge to Greggs to go completely vegan.
‘Here’s my thing to Greggs – go completely vegan. You can’t call them sausage rolls,’ he continued. ‘Go completely gruel and vegan.Earlier this year, Piers entered a war of words with Greggs over the vegan sausage roll. Piers criticised the move on Twitter, writing: ‘Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns.’Greggs then delivered a delectable response, writing: ‘Oh hello Piers, we’ve been expecting you.’– and frequently pulls them into debates/shouting matches on Good Morning Britain.
