TalkTV host Piers Morgan weighed in on the latest updates in the Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby saga on Monday night, claiming that the latter was in an "impossible position" as she returned to work today .
After the news was revealed, Holly took to Instagram to share a statement on 27 May, which read: "It has taken time to process yesterday's news. Talking about Holly's speech and return, Piers said: "I like Holly Willoughby, she is a good friend of mine… she is in an impossible position. She had to come back contractually and do what she did."
Talking about Holly finding a replacement on This Morning after she hosted Monday's return show with Josie Gibson, Piers said: "The hardest problem for Holly Willoughby will be who to replace him with. During the chat, Phillip opened up on feeling "utterly broken", saying how his daughters Ruby and Molly had looked after him and ensured he didn't sink into a really dark place.
Talking about Phillip's interviews, Piers said: "I have known him a long time, 35 years. I wrote a biography of Phillip Schofield in the ‘90s.
