‘I’ll just give you a heads-up,’ one pilot told air traffic control, according to a recording posted by LiveATC.net. ‘We’ve got the guy that tried to shut the engines down out of the cockpit and he doesn’t sound like he’s causing any issue in the back right now. I think he’s subdued.’ The pilot was not named by the airline, but booking information released by the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office identified him as Joseph David Emerson, 44.
