A pilot has died after being involved in a terrfying crash at a rural airfield which saw their plane dive 'rapidly' into the ground following a 'difficult' takeoff.
Following the crash, the small plane burst into flames and despite the best efforts of emergency services the man could not be saved. A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: 'At 10.45am this morning we were called to Woodmancote, near Defford.'There were reports that a small plane had experienced difficulties during take-off, causing it to descend rapidly to the ground.'Nobody else was injured during the incident. The Air Accident Investigation Branch will now carry out an investigation.'
