APACHE JUNCTION, AZ — Pinal County leaders are creating a task force to address illegal camping in the Apache Junction and Tonto National Forest area.

Serdy said the BLM land closure in February dispersed many of these squatters into state and federal lands. Stanke has lived near Apache Junction for years and says he saw a camper on fire a month ago near his home.
