The Commission on Elections on Sunday proclaimed Crispin Diego “Ping” Remulla, son of Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla, as the victor in the special congressional elections for Cavite's seventh district.

The Commission on Elections on Sunday proclaimed Crispin Diego “Ping” Remulla, son of Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla, as the victor in the special congressional elections for Cavite's seventh district. Remulla, who ran under the National Unity Party, is set to fill the congressional seat vacated by his father after taking the post of Justice Secretary.

He defeated three other independent candidates by garnering a total of 98,474 votes in Trece Martires City and the municipalities of Amadeo, Indang, and Tanza.
