Granddaughter of Kelly, local resident Dorothy Connor, was thrilled to see the photograph of the 1923 winning team on-screen on BBC during the introduction to the Women's World Cup Final on Sunday. Rutherglen Ladies FC was a family passion for the Kellys as James's wife Ellen and son Jackie took the ticket money, his eldest daughter Margaret was the trainer, with Dorothy’s mum Eileen being the mascot.
