Personal Independence Payment (PIP) recipients are warned about potential payment reductions if they also receive other overlapping benefits like Constant Attendance Allowance or War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement.

Recipients of Personal Independence Payment ( PIP ) have been cautioned that their payments might be reduced if they are simultaneously receiving other benefits. PIP , which is distributed by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), is designed to assist individuals with long-term ill health or a disability, providing up to £184.30 a week for those qualifying for the highest levels of both the living and mobility components. However, entitlements may decrease due to 'overlapping' benefits.

The detailed information in the PIP guidelines specifies: 'The PIP mobility component overlaps with War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement.' and 'The PIP daily living component overlaps with Constant Attendance Allowance. The overlapping benefit is always paid in full and PIP is reduced by the amount of the overlapping benefit.' Constant Attendance Allowance eligibility requires the claimant to already be receiving Industrial Injuries Disability Benefit or a War Disablement Pension. Meant for those in need of continual care such as home nursing or meal preparation help, this allowance is granted solely to individuals classified as totally disabled. For Constant Attendance Allowance, the full day rate stands at £88.70, while the half-day rate is set at £44.35. Moreover, there's an exceptional rate of £117.40 and an intermediate rate of £133.05, reports the Mirror. Recipients on the exceptional and intermediate rates could also qualify for Exceptionally Severe Disablement Allowance, which delivers an additional £88.70 atop the Constant Attendance Allowance rate. Receiving the Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP) can affect eligibility for the daily living component of the Personal Independence Payment (PIP), which is worth £72.65 weekly at the standard rate or £108.55 at the enhanced rate. As outlined in the PIP handbook, recipients of AFIP 'will not be entitled to PIP'. The AFIP itself is £17
