The day has arrived for the Pittsburgh Steelers to report to training camp in Latrobe. The team’s first practice is scheduled for Thursday.Let’s take a crack at predicting the roster right before training camp:This seems pretty straightforward. Though there is competition at the top, Wilson, Fields, and Allen feel like virtual locks for the final roster.
The top three are locks, but I chose Rodney Williams instead of Pruitt because of his special teams and receiving upside. He has also made tremendous strides as a blocker, so it does not feel like a massive drop-off. Defensive Line : Keeanu Benton, Cam Heyward, Larry Ogunjobi, Isaiahh Loudermilk, Montravius Adams, Dean Lowry
The top three are locks, and there will be heavy competition for Moon’s spot on this list, but he has freak athleticism on top of special teams’ ability. Kyron Johnson could make a push here, too, since he offers strengths similar to Moon’s. But Moon is a prototypical outside linebacker physically while Johnson’s size gives him natural drawbacks. I’ll lean Moon as a result.
