Columbus police confirmed to 10TV on Monday that the officer was relieved of duty after his arrest and is required to turn in his gun and badge.

Center City DORA would encompass popular destinations like the Scioto Mile, Columbus Commons, Gay Street, Fourth and Main and North Fourth corridors.

The proposed plan, announced as “Center City Dora,” is a result of the 2022 Downtown Strategic Plan. The DORA would span from East Franklinton to Fourth Street in downtown Columbus, covering roughly 0.62 square miles. Downtown Columbus, Inc., Franklinton Board of Trade and Capital Crossroads Special Improvement Districts are hoping to implement the DORA by next month.

Center City DORA would encompass popular destinations like the Scioto Mile, Columbus Commons, Gay Street, Fourth and Main and North Fourth corridors.By definition, DORA is a defined area where adults 21 and older can walk outdoors with one alcoholic beverage in a designated cup served by participating bars or restaurants. Patrons are not permitted to carry their beverage from one permitted establishment into another, or from one DORA to another.
